eRegister400 by Innovative Computers

Full Feature Point of Sale Solutions for the IBM iSeries (AS400) Platform !

  • Special Orders Take an order from a customer in person or over the phone.  Management defines a minimum deposit amount required at order placement.  Recall the order by Order# or customer name for adjustments or completion.

  • Item Inquiry Lookup of items is easy with an advanced description search, or lookup by the item department or category.  View the current on hand and on order quantity of ALL STORES in REAL TIME !  Only display item costs at workstations that you specify.

  • Special Pricing Features Create sale promotions with beginning and ending dates for items.  Create item bundle pricing (3 for $10.00), or set-up multiple price breaks for items based on the quantity purchased.  Give certain discounts based on customer type, department, category, or item.  Or, use our mark-up/mark-down equation tool, allowing you to set item prices using any equation.

  • "On the Fly" Maintenance Turn this feature on to allow item maintenance "on the fly".  This means that if an item is scanned at the register that is not in the system, the cashier is prompted for price (required) and description (optional).  The information is then added to your item database so that subsequent scans will retrieve the price previously entered.  Reports can later be run detailing what items were added at the POS station and further maintenance can then be done.  This is especially useful during the early stages of eRegister400 implementation.

  • Stock Levels  Inventory Categories can be set up to better identify your products.  This is often a facet of selection criteria for many reports throughout the system.  Up to 999 different categories may be defined within a stock level.  There are 4 stock levels available for your use.

  • Kits  You can define a kit product - essentially a product made up of other products in your item database.  For instance, you may sell fish tanks, gravel, and pumps individually.  You may also sell a tank starter kit, including all of the above items.  The system allows you to assemble or  dismantle these with the touch of a button, adjusting your inventory accordingly.  The kit product has all of the attributes of a standard product, so it can have a cost or sell price different than the sum of it's parts.   This feature can not only be used in POS, but also in our purchasing system.

  • Hold Orders  The customer you just rang up left his wallet in the car ?  No problem, press the button, and this order gets placed on hold,  and can be retrieved any time later that day.

  • Weight & Length  Enhancements have been made to better manage the inventory and sale of items sold by the pound, or by the foot.  You can connect a scale to the POS register and have it automatically retrieve the weight of the item being sold.

  • Alternate Item Access  In addition to Speed Keys and the standard UPC code, you have the ability to assign alternate product codes to access an item.  The system can handle a wide array of barcode formats.

  • Paperless Office  There's no longer a need to print endless streams of reports, now any information you might need can be "printed to screen" making it easy to access your data when you need it.

  • Customer Traffic Understand and analyze the patterns in heavy shopping times by month, week, day, and time of day to help you better utilize your human resources.

  • Customer Sales Summary  View a summary of the current customers sales history on screen with a touch of button.  Sales, Cost, Profit and Profit% can be views for the current Month, Year, last year, and All-Time.

  • Customer Purchase History  Get a history of all items ever purchased by Customer Account.

  • Employee Sales History  Get a detail and summary of sales by employee.  Find out which cashiers are most efficient.

  • Accounting Accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger applications are available, as well as integration to and from third party applications.

  • Payroll The system acts as a time clock, enabling management to accumulate payroll data at the store level.

  • Purchasing & Receiving Manually enter items to purchase, create default P.O.'s for your regular vendors, or let the system automatically suggest P.O.'s based on Min/Max stock quantities and best cost vendor.  Receive manually or by scanner, and print barcodes for items that require them.

  • Physical Inventory Portable handheld scanners enable you to count your stock quickly and easily by scanning barcodes and applying the data to your item database.

  • Sales Analysis Customer, Vendor, and Item sales analysis reports are available to run for any dates, detailing Month-to-date and Year-to-date figures.

  • Sales Summary  By Date or by date range, you can get a summary of your sales by payment method, as well as your taxable sales, non-taxable sales, total tax collected, gift cards issued and redeemed, store credits issued and redeemed, total # of customers, and average sale transaction amount.  Furthermore, the sales summary details the number and amount of sales by department.

  • Imaging   From item inquiry, you have the ability to view a graphic image of the product you've selected.  The images can be stored centrally (on the iSeries) or locally (on the Surepos register), in any standard PC format (.jpg .gif .bmp).

  • Email Advertising  Part of customer data capture is the capability to capture email addresses.  Easily import those addresses into Microsoft Outlook, and/or other email managers and send advertisements through the internet.  A terrific cost savings compared to traditional mailings.

  • Speed Keys Consider these shortcuts to items that are sold frequently, or that do not have a barcode.  They can facilitate quick transactions at the register by enabling the cashier to quickly access these hot items.

  • Customer Preference Cards Issue store membership cards at the POS station to learn more about your customers' buying habits.  A terrific management tool for increasing sales by offering incentives to frequent buyers, and generating mail (and email) databases.

  • Security Personnel are restricted within various access levels to protect the system's integrity.  Only authorized personnel may enter the system to change prices, obtain inventory data, or retrieve other sensitive information

  • Shipping  In the event that you process orders that must be shipped, you can store multiple ship-to addresses per customer account.  The tax for the sale is calculated accordingly.  Specify the number of boxes required for the shipment and you can have shipping labels print automatically to attach to the packages.

  • Dynamic Menu System  Although the software is quite feature rich, it may have more than applies to your business.  All functions are menu driven, and since the menu system is so flexible, it can be modified without interrupting any system processes.  After understanding your needs we can re-arrange the standard menu structure to make navigation around the system more direct for you.

  • Soft Coded  Most features within the software can be turned on or off without making any program code changes.  You may want certain workstations to not display item cost, or maybe you have a specific customer service counter for returns only.  This can all be done with ease as a result of soft coding.

  • WAN Advantages  Issue a gift certificate, gift card, or store credit from 1 store, and the customer can immediately redeem it at any store.  This is one of the many benefits of having all stores sharing a central server.  Polling is not necessary, and third party resources are not needed to manage your gift card processing.  In addition, from your central office you can maintain all data at the store level real time.

  • IBM I-Series  Utilize IBM's (and the world's) most reliable server.  The latest in the evolution of IBM's iSeries, the I-Series remains virus proof, hacker proof, and scalable to accommodate your growing business.

  • IBM SurePOS   Utilize IBM's most current version of Point of Sale hardware, the SurePOS.

  • No Polling Run all of your stores on one server.  This enables real-time stock inquiry of other stores, and one database to maintain.  This is made possible by using Virtual Private Networks (VPN) over the internet.  If for any reason your internet access fails, the system has the ability to stay operational using a dial-up backup connection.

  • Remote Access  Run reports, maintain your database, and check your sales data using a secure connection from your home or on the road.

  • Credit Card Processing eRegister400 is able to process credit card using POS-Port for iSeries, or Go Softtware's RiTA Server.  Either way, only 1 connection to your processor is required, regardless of the number of register or stores.  The processing speed of POS-Port is roughly 6-12 seconds, while the RiTA Server averages 1-3 seconds per authorization.

  • Gift Cards Customers may purchase gift cards and the system will maintain a running balance as purchases are made thereafter.  A Gift card has no value until activated (sold), and its value may be predetermined or set by the cashier.  Whether you have one store or many, there is no need for a third party to manage your gift cards and their values.  Everything is managed by the eRegister software, resulting in great savings.

  • Store Memo System  Send messages using the POS terminals to 1, some, or all of your stores through your network.  The system keeps track of which employee's are doing the sending and receiving, and when it took place.

  • Customization Available Innovative has a staff of expert programmers ready to add or change features, making eregister400 better suit your specific needs.

  • Emergency Stand-Alone System If needed, the registers have the capability of ringing basic sales, and capturing item and payment information, without any connection to the iSeries server.   Once your connection is returned, the sales information is uploaded to your master database.

  • Wireless Point of Sale  If you do trade shows or dispatch drivers that can make sales on the road, our wireless POS is perfect.  All functions of eRegister400 can be done on a laptop, including scanning, lookups, receipt printout and credit card transactions.

… and much more !!!
